Who We Are
Heinemann-Raintree
Library is a PreK-Secondary nonfiction publisher and part of the
Global Library group, a business unit of Pearson International, which is a division of Pearson Inc. We employ a child-sensitive
approach to publishing that emphasizes high-impact content designed
to engage readers and elicit the most important reader response of
all-an authentic sense of awe about the real world in which they
live and the thirst to learn more about it.
Our products routinely feature dynamic content presented in an inviting
manner under the assumption that nothing is more compelling, exotic,
and inspiring than the world as it is. However, this enticing
world can sometimes escape us, especially without a little help from
a trusted source. Therefore, unsurpassed care and due discrimination
are exercised to ensure that topics, text, and graphics are always "just
right" to maximize the reader's personal growth and academic development,
as measured by curriculum standards.
Simply put, Heinemann-Raintree Library helps readers to recognize
and better understand their world, and in doing so addresses the educational
needs of readers and the curricular concerns of educators. Every Heinemann-Raintree
Library book:
- has been expertly crafted to inspire further investigation
- features high-impact, high-quality photographs closely
matched to the text and topic
- delivers essential nonfiction features (glossary,
index, bibliography) and more according to the topic and need
- offers highly effective graphic support as necessary,
including informative captions, diagrams, maps, charts, fact boxes,
recipes, and more as required
- carefully considers and addresses the needs of educators
- is correlated to state and national standards
- includes only grade-level appropriate content
